Ji Orloff is a certified AMS (American Montessori Society) teacher with 20 years of experience in Montessori education and school administration. Prior to moving to the area, she taught at Montessori schools in San Diego and Shanghai. Ji joined Concord Montessori School (CMS) in 2014, where she initially focused on admissions and enrollment. In 2022, she assumed the role of Director, drawing on her experience in Montessori education, school administration, and community engagement. In June 2026, following the retirement of the former Head of School, Ji became Head of School at CMS.

Ji is deeply committed to the Montessori philosophy and to the CMS community. In addition to her leadership responsibilities, she enjoys teaching weekly Chinese lessons to children in the Primary program and supporting the faculty and families of the school.

Ji believes that every child has an innate desire to learn, although each child develops and learns at their own pace and in their own unique way. She is grateful for discovering Montessori more than 20 years ago while searching for a school for her then three-year-old son. Since that time, promoting and sharing Montessori philosophy and practice has remained a central part of her professional life and personal passion.

Outside of school, Ji enjoys gardening in her community garden, walking and hiking with her husband, and spending time in nature.
